San Onofre Pop Art Campaign

About

Medium: AI-Generated + Graphic Design
Client: Samuel Lawrence Foundation
Role: Concept, Execution
Date: 2024

This AI-generated pop art campaign was developed for the Samuel Lawrence Foundation to raise awareness around the 3.6 million pounds of radioactive waste stored on the coast at San Onofre, California. Using a visual style inspired by 1960s comic books and public health posters, the work combines nostalgia with urgency to call attention to one of California’s most pressing environmental threats.

The campaign used vivid storytelling, accessible iconography, and visual metaphors to cut through apathy and ignite public engagement—especially among younger and more digitally native audiences.
